Cambodia - January 2015
Mom had an amazing opportunity to attend a photography trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was an
unforgettable experience visiting 1000+ year old temples, monasteries, lake villages and local markets. While
the temples are an amazing sight to see, it was the people of Cambodia who really made this trip special.
The gate to Angkor Thom
Ta Prohm, where Tomb Raider was filmed
Angkor Wat, the most popular of all the
temples took over 37 years to construct
Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in SE Asia was definitely a highlight of the trip. Some people
live on house boats in the middle of the lake and there are many villages on the shore. We visited
Kampong Khleang and met many children and families, including a couple celebrating their wedding!
